Your wedding invitation is more than just a date and a location—it’s your first impression. For micro and pop-up weddings especially, clarity and tone matter. Here's exactly what to include so your invite feels thoughtful, elegant, and informative (without overwhelming your guests).

Your Names
Include both of your full names (first and last), or first names only if you're keeping it casual.
Optional: Include parents’ names if you're honoring them or they’re hosting
The Invitation Line
Use a phrase that reflects your vibe:
“You’re invited to celebrate the marriage of…”
“Together with their families…”
“Join us for an intimate ceremony…”
The Date and Time
Write out the full date and time to keep it formal or semi-formal:
“Saturday, the Thirteenth of September, Two Thousand Twenty-Five at four o’clock in the afternoon”
The Venue Name and Address
Include both the name of the venue and the full address
Optional: Add a short line like “Ceremony in the garden” if there are multiple areas at the location
Reception Info (if applicable)
If reception is in the same location, add “Reception to follow”
If it’s a separate location or at a later time, include the name, address, and time
Dress Code (if not on your website)
Keep it simple: “Cocktail attire,” “Garden party chic,” or “Casual”
RSVP Details
You can include an RSVP card or simply direct guests to your wedding website
Optional Additions:
Wedding website URL or QR code
A brief note about children (e.g. “Adults-only celebration”)
Travel or parking tips on a separate insert if needed
Final Thought
Your invite sets the tone for your day. Keep it clear, stylish, and true to you—and your guests will show up feeling excited, informed, and ready to celebrate.
